All mandatory documents required for the visa application process are listed in the checklist provided below. In order to ensure that your application is not rejected due to incorrect or inadequate documents, it is important to carefully review the guidelines listed on this site before submitting your application.
The following documents are required for all applicants:
- Confirmed air ticket copy directly from the respective airline with applicant name mentioned on it.
- Hotel Confirmation directly from the respective hotel with all the applicant names mentioned on it.
For passengers below the age of 18 years, the following documents must also be submitted:
- Letter from the parents (mentioning the details of child, parents and travel details)
- Birth certificate with MEA attestation.
Additionally, for all tourist applications, the closing balance amount as prescribed by The Thai Consulate must reflect in the bank account consistently for a minimum period of six months prior to the date of application submission. Failure to meet this criteria will result in the application not being processed as per instructions from the Consulate. In case the recommended bank balance is not available in the account for a minimum of six months, additional documents such as Pay slip, Bonafide Letter from the employer & Employment ID card, RC copy in case of Business will have to be submitted.
It is important to note that Nepal passport holders should provide NOC from the Nepal Embassy for applying Thailand Visa. Non-immigrant O-A Visa (Retirement Visa)
If you are going to retire in Thailand then you need to meet the financial requirements as well as be 50 years or older.The following documents would be needed.

In Addition the medical certificate is there to show that you do not suffer from Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Elephantiasis, Drug Addiction and/or Third stage of Syphilis. Requesting a new passport (E-Passport)
- Firstly you will need to make an appointment at Tel. +91-444-2300-730
- Secondly you have to apply by yourself. If you are under 20 your parents must accompany you;
- Thirdly it takes 4-6 weeks to obtain the passport or e-passport;
- Lastly current cost, 5-year passport fee of Rs. 2,500, a 10-year passport fee (for adults only) Rs.4,000.
You will need the following documents to renew your Thai passport.

Temporary passport for lost passport
NOTE if you lost your passport you will need to report this to the local police. They will give you a case number as the Consulate will need this to issue you a new passport. The temporary passport is valid for 1 year only.
