This can be done at the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok or the Canadian Consulate in Chiang Mai. Note that you need certain documents for your affidavit as well as original documents if you are widowed or divorced.

This is the Australian Letter of Affirmation. The Australian Embassy in Bangkok can assist you with your marriage registration by ensuring that you have a ‘Letter of Affirmation” or “Freedom to Marry” for the Thai government. The affidavit form needs to be completed and costs about $50 per affidavit. The process normally takes about 2 days as you need to return to collect the affidavit. The affidavit gets notarized at the Embassy and this costs $50 per seal.
